My trip to Swansea

Hello everyone,
I'm sorry I'm late writing about my trip to Swansea but I'd still want to write about it so everyone can read how great my EIO activity has been!

So I went to Swansea with my good friend Wouter, we had organised a team-trip to the football club Swansea City and did all sorts of things next to just visiting the football club.
We began our trip in Oss. On thursday midday we started driving in our mini-vans wentonto the boat in Calais, and after the boat trip we had to travel from Dover to Swansea which took quite a while.
When we arrived at Swansea it was already after dinner time, so everyone was tired of driving but we still went to see the city centre of Swansea. We found out that the centre is quite big and that there is a lot to do. We all got to bed early so that we would be fit again the next day.
On Friday we managed to get the team a football practise so that we would learn how a professional football team are used to train. After the exhausting training we got a healthy lunch because, professional football players have to eat healthy as well of course. The Friday night was less healthy but also very nice, because we went to see the city again and managed to do several group activities. We could learn about Welshe culture and even watched a rugby game, which is a big part of the Welsh culture of course. We knew the next day the professional team of Swansea City would play its game so we were very excited about that.
When the moment was finally there we all immagined how great it is to be a professional footballer. It was a nice game but ended in a tie which was a bit dissapointing. The end of the game didn't really matter to us actually, because we could only think about the atmosphere in the stadium which was amazing. After the match we did some group activities in the hotel again. On sunday we went back to Dover again but first we would stop in London. This is why we would get off to London as early as possible so that we would have enough time there. We had a nice trip throughout London so that we could see every little part of it. When the day was over in London, we drove back to Dover where we would get on the boat to Calais again and in this way we arrived in the Netherlands on Monday morning.

For me it was a great experience to be in Swansea and see how life was going on right there. I've learned a lot of cultural aspects and this is why I really enjoyed my EIO activity.
